General Consignment

Is your closet filled with stylish designer and high-end clothes and accessories that you no longer wear? Don’t just toss them out – Consign with Act II where we’ll find a new life for your gently used quality items. We can assist you with as few as five items or a whole closet full of things. We can also help in liquidating estate wardrobes.

Don’t be concerned if you live outside of the greater Kansas City area, we work with consigners nationwide.

Here are Act II’s basic consignment guidelines:
• Act II accepts both women’s and men’s clothing and accessories for consignment.
• Consignments are accepted by appointment only. Please call ahead.
• You must have a minimum of 5 acceptable clothing and/or accessory items to open a consignment account.
• Items must be seasonal, either spring/summer or fall/winter. (Exceptions may be made for estate accounts.)
• Items must be clean and in pristine to excellent condition.
• All clothes must be brought in on hangers.
• As a general rule, things need to be no more than 2 years old. However, we do routinely accept vintage jewelry.
• Items must be designer or high-end quality. All major designer and luxury brands as well as many boutique and rising star designers are welcomed.
• We are unable to accept discount store fashions (i.e. WalMart, Target, Kohl’s, Gordmans, etc.)

We also accept select items from retailers such as Ann Taylor, Chico’s, Talbots and Banana Republic.
If in doubt about an item, bring it in at the time of your appointment and we will be happy to assess it for you.
Act II will appraise and price all items for you. You receive 40% of the selling price.

Act II Store Policies
1. All sales are final. No exchanges or returns.
2. Act II offers 30 day layaway for regular price items.
3. Layaway of furs may be extended up to 90 days.
4. Layaway purchases require a nonrefundable minimum 25% deposit.
5. Items left in layaway longer than 45 days will be returned to stock and all deposits and payments will be forfeited unless other arrangements have been made in advance.
6. Credit cards not accepted for purchases totaling under $15.00.
