Those interested in consigning items often ask…

1. Do you buy any items?
No. Act II works strictly on a consignment only basis.

2. Do you take children’s clothes?
No.

3. Do you take prom dresses?
Sometimes. They must be very high-end and we are very selective.

4. Do my clothes have to have designer labels?
No. We prefer designer consignments, but we accept many high-end articles as well. Refer to “Consigning With Act II” for more details.

5. Do I need an appointment to bring things in for consignment?
Yes. Please call 816.531.7572 to schedule a convenient time to meet with us.

6. Do you take clothes by season?
Items must be seasonally appropriate. Spring/summer apparel and accessories are accepted from January through June; fall/winter apparel and accessories, July through December. Exceptions are made for estate wardrobe liquidations.

7. Can I consign vintage clothing?
Although we are not a vintage clothing store, we do occasionally accept very chic, very high-end designer pieces in pristine condition.

8. Can I consign vintage jewelry?
Definitely! Vintage jewelry in styles from fun & funky through divinely elegant is an Act II customer favorite.

9. What if I only want to consign accessories?
Not a problem. We will be happy to work with you.

10. Is there a minimum / maximum numbers of items I can consign at one time?
Minimum: five items are needed to open a new consignor account. Maximum: You may bring as many items as you wish.

11. How long do you keep my things?
Most items are routinely left on the sales floor up to six months, unless sold. Some of our more exclusive luxury consignments may be given up to 12 months to sell.

12. What happens to my things if they don’t sell?
We give your items every possible chance to sell. If we are unsuccessful, unsold items are donated to a local charity. You may opt to receive donation documentation for tax purposes.

1. Can I pay for my purchase by credit card?
Yes. Act II accepts VISA, MasterCard and Discover Card. We require a minimum $15.00 purchase for credit card use.

2. Can I return or exchange items I have purchased?
No. Because all items are taken on consignment, we are unable to accept returns or offer exchanges.

3. Is shipping available if I live out of state?
Yes. Shipping is available nationwide. Please ask for details at the time of your purchase.

4. Do you offer layaway?
Yes. Act II offers a 30 day layaway plan for your convenience, as well as special layaway arrangements for furs. Please contact us for details.
