About Act II

Act II designer consignment founder and owner, Gloria Everhart began her business on the front porch of her home. It made sense for the mother of five to work from home. But, as word spread about great designer clothing at a fraction of the original cost, the business quickly outgrew its original home.

Now, fifty years later, Act II has become a Kansas City shopping tradition. Recognized by Good Housekeeping magazine, Act II has expanded four times to better serve customer needs.

The shop is geared to fashion conscious women and men seeking designer and high-end fashions at “give-away” prices. Act II features a full line of women’s and men’s, designer clothing, shoes and accessories encompassing styles that range from casual to corporate to cocktail. Stock includes many new items in addition to resale, with merchandise arriving from overstocked shops as well individuals.

And fashion is never “one size fits all” at Act II – Both divisions, Women’s and Men’s, offer a broad range of sizes. Women’s wear sizes begin with a petite size 0 and continue through full figure sizes up to size 28. Likewise, men can find sizes S through XXXL, suits 38 through 52 and pants of all sizes.

Conveniently located just west of Kansas City’s Country Club Plaza, Act II features clothing and accessories from designers such as Georgio Armani, Chanel, Prada, Calvin Klein, Dolce & Gabanna, Versace and Ralph Lauren to name a few. Because we are a consignment shop, inventory availability changes daily – you never know what you might find!

At Act II, you’ll enjoy a unique shopping experience in a friendly comfortable environment. One-of-a-kind clothing and accessory items arrive daily from consignors not only from throughout the greater Kansas City area, but also from across the United States.
